Material
EPDM
EPDM's saturated backbone gives outstanding resistance to ozone ageing, UV and weathering along with strong performance in water, steam, brake fluid and other phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. Supplied in both sulphur-cured and peroxide-cured grades. It should never be specified where the seal will contact mineral oils or greases.

EPDM O-rings — excellent for water, steam and outdoor applications.
Applications
Where it's used
Potable water and steam systems, brake systems, outdoor/weather-exposed seals, HVAC.
Properties
Key advantages of EPDM
- Outstanding resistance to ozone, UV and weathering — ideal for outdoor installations
- Temperature range from -50°C to +150°C (peroxide-cured grades to +160°C)
- Excellent resistance to hot water and low-pressure steam
- Good electrical insulation properties
- Available in FDA and WRAS (potable-water) approved grades
EPDM's saturated polymer backbone gives it the longest service life of any general-purpose elastomer in ozone and weathering exposure. FITCO supplies EPDM O-rings and gaskets across AS568, ISO 3601, metric and custom sizes for water treatment, HVAC, beverage dispensing, automotive cooling systems and general-purpose outdoor sealing.
