Material
Polychloroprene (CR / Neoprene)
CR's chief characteristic is flame retardency along with excellent ageing properties in ozone and weathering, combined with resistance to abrasion and flex fatigue.

CR (Neoprene) O-rings — balanced chemical and weather resistance.
Applications
Where it's used
Bonded seals, weather-exposed static seals, refrigerant systems.

Key advantages of CR (Neoprene)
- Balanced resistance to oils, ozone, weathering and moderate chemicals
- Temperature range from -35°C to +120°C
- Good flame resistance (self-extinguishing) — often specified for fire safety
- Moderate oil and fuel resistance — better than EPDM but below FKM
- Good adhesion to metals — used in bonded seal applications
Neoprene was the first commercially successful synthetic rubber and remains a versatile general-purpose elastomer. FITCO supplies CR O-rings and gaskets for refrigeration (R-12, R-22, R-134a), marine, mining and general industrial sealing applications.
